Rockport has over 7,000 residents and is approximately 40 miles north of Boston at the tip of the Cape Ann peninsula. The coastal New England town has charm found around every corner. Rockport is a town that is primarily suburban and known for lobster fishermen and artists. For this, Rockport has been on the radar for tourism for many years with visitors coming to admire the rocky beaches and seaside parks.
Points of interest include Bearskin Neck, a collection of fisherman shacks that have been converted into shops, eateries and galleries. Thatcher’s Island’s lighthouses as well as The Paper House, completely made of paper are also big draws. Rockport is accessed by the MBTA Commuter Rail with service to Boston.
